Spray Foam Insulation Case Study: A Superior Insulation Upgrade for a New Construction Home in Cartersville, GA

Project Overview

At Epic Spray Foam, our commitment to excellence starts with exceptional customer service. We go above and beyond to ensure every customer’s needs come first, taking the time to understand their unique goals and providing tailored insulation solutions. When Lynn reached out during the early stages of her new build in Cartersville, we applied the same personalized approach, guiding her through every step to find the best fit for her home.

After an extensive search for the perfect home style and layout, Lynn decided on a Summertown Metals stick-built home. Originally, she considered constructing a log cabin and even traveled to Tennessee to watch one being built. However, after careful consideration, she pivoted to her current plan.

Breaking ground in May 2023, the project required a year of preparation, including clearing land and extending power and water 400 feet from the road. The finished home spans 2,400+ square feet, and includes a bonus room above the master suite with a private entrance from the garage.

“It took us a full year just to get our land ready before we could start construction, but we wanted to do it right,” Lynn shared. “We went back and forth on the design, even considering a log cabin, but in the end, this layout was the best fit for us.”

Choosing Epic Spray Foam

Lynn took her time researching insulation providers, gathering quotes from multiple companies in the area. Initially, she planned to use traditional insulation throughout the home, but reconsidered after comparing costs. She explained:

“We actually started with the idea of using regular insulation, but once we did the math, spray foam made so much more sense. Epic’s pricing was competitive, but what really stood out was the customer service. Justin answered every question I had—sometimes even before I asked it!”

Epic Spray Foam stood out not only for its affordable pricing but also for the exceptional customer service provided by Justin and his team. Unlike other companies, Epic took the time to answer every question thoroughly, ensuring Lynn felt informed and confident in her decision. Even as the project timeline extended, as is so common with new construction projects, Lynn said Justin remained patient and checked in periodically, offering support every step of the way.

Insulation Selection & Expert Guidance

With Epic’s guidance, Lynn opted for spray foam insulation to create a fully encapsulated home. Additionally, she installed rock wool insulation in the walls for enhanced soundproofing. Initially, she believed additional insulation would be needed in the ceilings, but after consulting with Justin, she learned her home was already fully sealed and protected—saving her time and money.

“At first, I thought we needed even more insulation in the ceilings, but Justin explained how the spray foam created a complete envelope around the home,” Lynn said. “I really appreciated that he took the time to walk me through it—it saved us money and unnecessary work.”

Project Status & Satisfaction

Today, Lynn feels confident she made the right insulation choice. She is already anticipating significant energy savings on heating and cooling costs, thanks to the efficiency of spray foam insulation. She has already noticed that when temperatures outside reach 75 degrees or more, it remains 62 degrees in the house!

Advice for Other Home Builders

For those embarking on a new build, Lynn strongly recommends:

  • Do your research: take the time to understand the long-term benefits of spray foam vs. traditional insulation.
  • Crunch the numbers: factor in material, labor costs, and energy savings before making a final decision.

Working with Epic Spray Foam

Lynn shared that Epic Spray Foam exceeded expectations from project beginning to end. The team was professional, communicative, and thorough. Justin remained available for every question, and the crew even took care of cleaning up, bagging materials to save Lynn the cost of an extra dumpster.

“I would recommend Epic to anyone building a new home,” Lynn said. “The crew was polite, they answered all my questions, and they left the job site spotless. It was a great experience from start to finish!”

Final Verdict: A Highly Recommended Insulation Partner

Lynn wholeheartedly recommends Epic Spray Foam for new construction or insulation upgrades. The quality of work, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service made all the difference in ensuring her home is well-insulated for years to come.
